The Gallery Norfolk is now working with Own Art - the Arts Council initiative - offering interest free loans to spread to cost of buying art over 10 months.
After 5 successful years selling high quality, but affordable art and craft, the Gallery Norfolk in Cromer is delighted to participate in the Arts Council England scheme, set up to offer art collectors the opportunity to spread the cost of purchases between £100 and £2500, with an interest free loan over ten months.
The aim of the scheme is to make the buying of art and craft more affordable for collectors and to help inspire first time buyers to start their collection of contemporary art and craft. Loans are available to buy a wide range of items including original paintings, limited edition prints, drawings, glasswork, ceramics, jewellery and other crafts, making the vast majority of The Gallery Norfolk’s offering eligible for a loan.
The Gallery Norfolk opened in June 2012 with a hand-picked collection of art and craft by owner Polly Miller including original oil paintings, contemporary limited edition silk screen prints, linocuts, engravings. Many of the gallery’s artists enjoy a national reputation for their work and much of it is inspired by sea and nature. Says Polly “visitors to the gallery really seem to appreciate the energy and colour that characterises the art and craft we choose. They can take its quality on trust – we make a point of searching out talented artists and craftspeople who offer something personal and special – and our style in the gallery is friendly and unpressured.”
